Privacy Policy

This describes what Provendo's platform actually collects and does today. It's a plain-English starting point, not a substitute for advice from a qualified privacy lawyer — have it reviewed before relying on it, particularly around Australian Privacy Act obligations.
1. What we collect
| If you're a Member | Name, email, postcode (optional), category interests, marketing consent. |

| If you're a Supplier | Contact name, business name, ABN, business address, email, phone (optional), website (optional), a password (stored as a one-way hash — we never see or store your plain-text password), and anything you tell us in your application message. |
| Product listings | Product name, price, description, and photo, plus which Supplier submitted them. |
| Payment details | Handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card or bank account details — Provendo only receives confirmation that a subscription payment succeeded or failed. |
| Usage data | Click counts on product listings and Supplier websites, used to show Suppliers how their listings are performing. |
2. How we use it
- To run your account and let you log in.
- To review and approve (or reject) Supplier applications and product listings.
- To bill Suppliers for their subscription, via Stripe.
- To send Members deal and new-lot emails, if you've opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time.
- To show Suppliers aggregate performance data (clicks) for their own listings.
3. Who we share it with
We share payment information with Stripe (our payment processor) to bill Supplier subscriptions — see Stripe's own privacy policy for how they handle it. We don't sell personal information to anyone, and we don't share Member contact details with Suppliers directly; Suppliers only see aggregate click counts, not who clicked.
4. How we store it
Your information is stored in Provendo's database on our hosting provider (Railway). Passwords are hashed and cannot be reversed, even by us. Product photos are stored alongside the database.
5. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time by reaching out through the inquiry form on our homepage. Members can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. Deleting a Supplier account may take a short time to process if there's an active subscription to close out first.
6. Cookies
We use a single essential cookie to keep you logged in (a session cookie). It's not used for advertising or tracking across other websites.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform changes. We'll update the date at the top when we do.
