Terms of Service

This is a plain-English starting point covering how Provendo actually works today, not a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer. Have it reviewed before relying on it for anything high-stakes.

1. What Provendo is

Provendo is a marketplace that connects home cooks and other consumers ("Members") directly with food wholesalers, growers, butchers, and makers ("Suppliers"). Suppliers list products for sale; Members browse those listings. When a Member clicks through to buy something, they leave Provendo and complete that purchase directly with the Supplier, on the Supplier's own website or storefront.

2. Provendo is not the seller

Provendo does not sell, own, store, ship, or handle any of the products listed on the platform. Every sale is a contract directly between a Member and a Supplier. Provendo is not responsible for:

We review Supplier applications and product listings before they go live, but approval is not a guarantee or endorsement of any Supplier or product.

3. Supplier accounts and subscriptions

Suppliers apply for an account by providing accurate business details, including a valid ABN. Provendo reviews applications and may approve, reject, or request more information at its discretion. Approved Suppliers are billed a recurring monthly subscription (currently $500 AUD/month) to list products, processed securely through Stripe. Subscription tiers limit how many products a Supplier may list at once, as shown on their dashboard at the time.

Provendo may suspend or remove a Supplier account or listing at any time — for example for inaccurate information, non-payment, or products that don't belong on the platform — with notice where reasonably possible.

4. Member accounts

Membership is free. By signing up, you agree to receive deal and new-lot emails if you opt in, and you may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us. We may use the interests you select to decide what to send you.

5. Accounts and passwords

You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for any activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use Provendo to list or promote anything illegal, unsafe, or misleading, to misrepresent your business or ABN, or to interfere with the platform's normal operation.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by Australian law, Provendo is provided "as is." We're not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform or your dealings with a Supplier or Member. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't lawfully be excluded.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use Provendo after a change means you accept the updated terms.
